Pathetic. Absoloutely f*****g pathetic. I took an old website I owned, and completely redevloped it. It ran on Joomla! before, but I was getting an SSL attack every month, and I got tired of fixing new security flaws every time that happened. Now I'm running PHPBB.
So, I'm not even finished developing the god damned site, and I already had ten spam bots registering an hour. For my forum. The one with no traffic. Pure bullshit. And they just post some bogus links like these:

gay teen sex porn
not gay porn
chat gay video
free sample of gay man porn
gay porn star jeff palmer

Thank god I had it set to administrator approval for all new members.
Well, I went off and added a bunch of security scripts. Most notably the Register Parameter Mod (Changes the mode=register thing on the url to what you want,) Josh Rice's Anti-Spam APC, and some script that puts a captcha code on login, and now the magical number ten has lowered to about one, and they aren't even making it past the registration (They don't even try to enter the Captcha.)
Anybody have any ideas on how to turn that number to 0?
