I find your examples amusing in demonstrating the lack of dedication to democracy and human rights. Choosing to avoid intervention in the internal political affairs of other countries does not mean Obama doesn't care about democratic interests elsewhere. To the contrary, his statements about the Iranian elections clearly demonstrated solidarity. But going farther than he went and calling for the government of Iran to act or to intervene in more intrusive ways would have been a fool-hardy mistake. The Iranian regime would have used American intervention as a tool to galvanize even the opposition among the people of Iran against America. This would have strengthened the regime exponentially. Now the regime is weak in the eyes of its people, and that is good.
